Comedian sees sick, stray dog hiding in a parking lot and scoops him into his car at once
Dogs are loving, loyal, and empathetic creatures. If you give them love, they’ll return it threefold. Unfortunately, not all of us appreciate animals enough. The sad reality is that there are still people who abandon and (even worse) abuse their pets.
In 2018, a stand-up comic from Dubai was going to visit his sister at her workplace. The two had plans to meet for lunch together, but one pooch changed everything.
Anand Raman, the story’s hero, found the stray dog hiding under a parked car and eating some scraps.
The dog was seeking shade in a parking lot. Raman noticed that the dog was dirty, and he was eating some leftovers. However, Anand caught the dog’s attention as well.
Anand said that he wasn’t planning on saving a life that day.
“He approached me with a curious but excited disposition, wagging his tail excitedly,” he told The Dodo.
“This demeanor of his is what initially made me fall in love with him.”
The dog was exhausted and he looked sick, too.
“His fur was matted and his legs weren’t quite right,” said Raman.
Not knowing what to do, the man sat on the sidewalk by the dog’s side. The doggy enjoyed Anand’s petting a lot.
And just like that, Raman decided that he couldn’t leave the dog alone.
After a short conversation, Raman and his sister decided to bring the dog to the vet.
Naturally, Raman couldn’t drive with the dog on his lap. So he sat inside the car and waited for his sister to get there. The dog seemed ot immediately feel calm in Anand’s arms.
He leaned his snout against Raman’s shoulder and fell right asleep.
The vet said the dog had rickets caused by malnutrition.
The good news was that the dog’s condition was completely curable. The puppy just needed some medication and a lot of love.
Raman immediately took the dog home and gave him a nice warm bath.
While bathing the dog, Anand was in for a huge surprise.
Unbelievably, when all the dirt came off, the dog’s coat turned out to be completely white.
Raman decided to name him Snowy.
The dog in Raman’s favorite comic, “The Adventured of Tintin,” had the same name.
Snowy’s physical condition improved rapidly, but he was terrified of being abandoned again.
He never wanted to leave Anand’s side.
When Raman would take Snowy outside for a walk, the dog would remain right by his side.
Finally, after a few months, Snowy realized his dad wasn’t going anywhere.
Both were happy to have each other.
Today, Raman says that he enjoys the amount of love Snowy showers him with every day.
Whenever Anand comes back from work, Snowy is waiting for him to give him a lot of kisses and to wish him a warm welcome.
We love stories like this one.
Both Raman and Snowy earned a friend for life.
Keep going strong, you two. Your story is truly inspirational.
