5-year-old doesn’t think twice when mom has seizure in pool, jumps in and saves her life

Tracy Anderwald knows that her daughter will always look out for her. When the child was just five, she managed to save her mother’s life.

Most mothers know that their daughters are amazing. But Tracy Anderwald also knows that her daughter, Allison, is a life-saver. And the life that Allison saved is Tracy’s

It all began one morning when the mother decided to relax in their pool. Initially, Allison joined Tracy, but after a while, she decided to play in the yard.

But then something terrifying happened.

Tracy started having a seizure. In no time at all, the mother’s head went under the water.

Luckily, Allison soon noticed that her mother had stopped swimming. She looked over to the pool and saw that her mother was under the water and not moving.

The five-year-old girl rushed back to the pool. She then swam over to her mother, grabbed her and dragged her to safety.

Allison was able to get the water out of her mother’s lungs, but the seizure was still happening. So Allison ran inside to the rest of her family.

Pretty soon, Tracy’s husband had dialed 911 and was doing all that he could.

The next thing that Tracy knew, she was waking up in a hospital bed. She was unsure of how she had arrived there or why.

Tracy’s sister, Tedra, explained the amazing actions of Allison to the mother.

“Allison was able to do that on her own. And so it’s a miracle.” – Tedra Hunt, Tracy’s sister.

At first, Tracy couldn’t believe her ears. Then she checked her security camera footage on her phone and learned the truth.

Soon, Allison was hugging her mother, happy to see her alert once more. Allison had been worrying constantly until the moment when she saw her mother awake.

Tracy had taught Allison to swim when she was only two and a half. The lessons might seem a little early. But they really made a difference in this instance!

A report on Allison’s brave rescue made its way onto YouTube, where it soon went viral. To date, the video has gained over 4.6 million views. It also has more than 36,000 likes and 1,800 comments. People have been saying things like this:

Allison has managed to become a hero at the age of five. That’s truly an amazing feat. Thanks to her, her mother is alive and well.

Tracy and Allison must have been startled at this event. Seizures are incredibly scary, even in the safest of circumstances. And many times, the cause of a seizure is unknown.

Some of the things that can cause them are strokes, cancer, brain tumors, head injuries, electrolyte imbalance, extremely low blood sugar, repetitive flashing lights, certain medications, medication withdrawal, drug use, brain infections and more.

Seizures can happen to anyone under the wrong circumstances. This means that we all have a responsibility to be like Allison and help anyone who looks like they’re having one!
