This handsome pooch came to the shelter with a terrible skin condition that ruined his fur.

The shelter has given his coat all the love and care it needed over the four years that he’s been with them. The veterinarians who work with Soi Dog say he will start to grow new hair soon. It’s great to see the work they’ve done to help this handsome dog make a pretty picture.

This boy got lucky. Most pet adoptions tend towards new puppies instead of older dogs.

This energetic dog is already ten years old, so the chances of him being adopted are very slim.

There are some advantages to adopting an older pet according to Pet Central. You’ll have a better picture of the dog’s background, including energy levels, and how they get along with others. Also, older pets tend to need less training.

The Soi Dog Foundation is a non-profit organization that helps the homeless, neglected, and abused dogs and cats of Thailand. The charitable organization’s mission statement reads …

To fulfill its mission, Soi Dog treats sick animals and lets them have a better life. At the same time, they teach compassion for animals to schoolchildren through their community education programs.

“At Soi Dog Foundation, we believe that people’s attitudes towards animals are formed at an early age. If more people grow up with empathetic attitudes to dogs and cats, there will be fewer cases of cruelty and neglect.”

According to The Humane Society of the United States, the best way to find a pet is by adopting.

As any new addition to the family requires, they suggest doing a little homework. It helps the new owners to figure out a few things and know what to expect. Like what kind of pet will fit their lifestyle, and how much time they have to devote daily to a pet?
