Funny dog waltzes into the store, intent on his own hilarious Christmas mission
The unusual event took place at Smith’s Food and Drug in Murray, Utah. The dog walked into the store and stole what he wanted. We kind of understand. Getting a last-minute Christmas present is always stressful. People will do all kinds of stunts to get what they want, especially if it’s offered at a good price. Well, dogs are no different. The only minor detail we have to mention is that the doggy didn’t pay at all. What a guy?!
One of those “you have to see it to believe it” stories about a dog who was prepared to break the law to get himself a Christmas gift
If the store didn’t have a surveillance camera, which is highly unlikely, no one could prove that the dog walked through the market like a true smooth criminal.
Bad to the bone, it was the bone he was looking for. The manager had been watching this four-legged thief the whole time, and thanks to the CCTV system, we now have a whole video of the dog in action to laugh as much as we want.
Yes – the doggo shoplifted, but it’s hilarious anyway. As long as this 2-minute long video doesn’t give people ideas to train their pets to steal more expensive items, we should look at it as an entertaining thing that doesn’t happen often.
Dogs’ noses are thousands of times more sensitive than ours, that’s why the dog knew exactly where to go
At first, the video shows the dog approaching the sliding doors, then entering the store. It’s very funny, because he’s calm, and acts as if he came in to buy something.
It’s the furry swag we’re impressed with. Anyway, the dog seems to know his way through the store. He approaches a little girl, sniffs her, says hello, then turns left, and heads toward aisle 16. Guess what’s there?! That’s right – dog food, toys, and other supplies.
Experts have seen this footage and explained that this doggo knew his way around simply because his sense of smell is extraordinary.
The dog appears to be a husky/wolf mix
Because of his long legs, and longer snout, people concluded that it’s a husky dog.
One thing is certain, he’s very smart, fearless, and determined. Just watch his ‘operation bone’. The way the husky thief gets in and out of the store is remarkable. Other animals might hesitate a bit, but not this pal.
Luckily, the hound was humble, he picked out a very cheap item
Do you know the price of the rawhide bone? Well, it costs a total of $2.49 at Smith’s Food and Drug.
Not a bad haul for a dog, right?! However, there were many other more expensive things, but the thief was kind enough to satisfy himself with a small bone. It’s holiday time people, be kind to dogs, let the poor dog go, and somebody pay for it.
That’s what we would have done, and that’s what the manager did in the end.
Because the manager tried to stop him, the doggy ran away with his prey
Roger Adamson, the store’s manager, confronted the thief as he was returning down the aisle.
Here’s how he described the situation: “I said ‘Drop it!’ I decided I wanted to keep all of my fingers so I didn’t try to take them from him. And he looked at me and I looked at him and he ran for the door and away he went.”
Is it wrong if we’re glad that the dog got to keep the bone?!
The event happened in 2008, but people still comment on the video wishing the dog Merry Christmas
Almost 2 million YouTube users have seen the video so far. Well, aside from being a thief, the dog also became a superstar.
Merry Christmas to everyone.
