Father and son group sing incredible cover of Everly Brother’s hit and melt Simon’s heart

We will never truly know how Simon Cowell does it. Over the years, he has successfully predicted and pushed boy bands like Westlife and One Direction to massive commercial success. He just has the right eye for it!

When people are under Cowell’s “eye,” you know he will give his honest opinion.

Many of us first saw Simon on American Idol and fell in love with his hilarious remarks and reviews on the contestants trying out. He was always brutally honest and refreshing!

If you were able to impress Simon Cowell, you had a good chance of moving up in the ranks.

Even now, when Simon judges things like Britains Got Talent, impressing the right person shows just how far you have the potential to go in the competition. When one band decided to perform, they hoped they could impress Simon and make it forward.

The resulting performance shocked the audience and melted hearts – even Simons!

The band, known as The Neales, came together when Laurie Neal has a brush with death. Upon realizing how fleeting life is, he decided to form a band with his sons and sing on stage!

“… And it really was a wake up call. It made me realize there’s more to life than just working.”

Lauria, a 60-year-old man, was about to perform with his sons in front of the world!

His sons always loved to sing, and the family would always sing together when they were younger. From Karaoke to the shower-songs, they all developed their talent and decided to make their dream a reality.

Dressing up in suits and standing on stage, the father-son band got ready to sing.

The song they decided to sing? When Will I Be Loved by the Everly Brothers. As soon as they open their mouth to sing, you can tell that this will be one amazing performance.

There isn’t any fancy footwork or dancing, just good singing.

Sometimes, less is more. There isn’t anything wrong with a big performance and lots of lights and smoke, but for the type of performance these guys were going to do, natural was better.

After they sang, the judges sat there in stunned silence.

The panel that day? Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and David Walliams. Quite the stacked group! You just know that dad and the boys knew they slayed that performance.

As the crowd stood up and cheered, the camera panned around, showing just how much the performance moved people.

Of course, we need to see what Simon thought! He said:

“You know what, I absolutely loved that audition. Just to see you supporting each other and this fantastic bond, it was just amazing.”

That’s the Simon seal of approval! If you can get that, you can do pretty much anything, right? Well, after their stellar performance, the group went out to celebrate. If you didn’t know any better, it was just a group of guys having a beer with dad.
