Man who grew up without a dad creates videos to help kids learn basic skills

Not all kids are lucky enough to have dads who will guide them throughout childhood. fact, in the United States, there are 18.3 million children who live without a father in their home.

Rob Kenny, a dad of two, is trying to help fatherless kids navigate through life.

He started with just one video when he created his YouTube channel. The topic? It was a guide on how to tie a tie.

The video easily went viral.

Even if the video was simple, people loved it. His instructions were super clear and that’s what attracted a lot of people to his channel. Now, the video has reached 1.2 million views and his channel has more than 3 million subscribers.

Rob has loaded his channel with lots of guides on basic skills.

He has a video on how to check the air pressures in your tires and a video on how to iron a dress shirt. He also has a tutorial on how to start a campfire. He even uploaded a video on how to make a pumpkin pie! Without a doubt, the guy knows a lot of things about life.

Rob knows what it’s like to live without a dad.

He’s sharing his knowledge with fatherless kids because he’s been in their situation. His childhood wasn’t great.

When he was young, his mother struggled with life while his dad got into a relationship with another woman Eventually, his parents got divorced. And to make matters worst, his father filed a restraining order against his mom.

Even though the dad was granted custody of all 8 kids, he didn’t seem to want them around.

By the time he reached 14 years old, Rob decided to move into his older sibling’s mobile home. It happened right after his dad made it clear that he didn’t want the kids anymore.

A couple of years later, Rob went on to build his own family.

And he’s successfully shared his knowledge with his two children. They’re both very successful in their chosen careers.

Ron’s channel resonates with a lot of social media users who grew up without fathers.

His videos promote calmness and a sense of safety that kids often feel whenever they’re around their dads.

In his very first video, tons of people shared their own stories. Some of them even praised him for the good work that he’s doing.
