Friesian horse struts his stuff when meeting the neighboring cows – and they are mesmerized

Friesians are graceful and majestic creatures – and boy do they know it! You can’t help but admire their slender limbs and long, glorious hair as they go galloping by.

Koning is one such horse and a video of him strutting his stuff in front of the neighbors has been viewed over 1.5 million times since it was uploaded by his owner in 2016 – and, frankly, we’re surprised it doesn’t have MORE!

Even mostly covered in a dowdy protective sheet meant to prevent coat fading, flies, and keep him cool, he has an air of glamour. There’s just something about the way he moves that suggests dignity.

“That horse’s trotting is more elegant than my own manners will ever be. And I have good manners,” joked one commenter.

Koning has come out today to meet the lowly neighbors.

Since those neighbors happen to be a bunch of cows on the other side of the fence, it doesn’t take much to outshine them.

They ALL look on as the black beauty approaches.

Then Koning starts to prance, just making sure that they know the other side of the fence belongs to a much fancier creature.

This fact is duly noted and the cows come rushing over just to get a better glimpse of him.

We’ve never actually seen cows this interested in anything, but they are clearly impressed.

However, a minute later his majesty decides he doesn’t like all the peasants gazing upon him, so he runs at them and sends them scattering.

Kind of a rude move, frankly.

But it seems just as the show is about to be over everyone thinks better of it and sticks around for Act II.

Or maybe the cows decide to stand their ground – there are more of them than there are of him after all!

In any case, no one can fool themselves any longer – they want to see this horse strut, and this horse was born to do it.

He gallops along the fence like a rock star at the front of the stage lavishly sweating on his adoring fans. It’s an amazing display of animal celebrity and, frankly, it’s hard not to at least crack a smile while watching it all go down.

If you prefer your animal metaphors on the more serious side, you’ll no doubt enjoy the scene starting at around 1:20 when Koning (which means “king,” after all) looks like a mighty military general surveying his troops.

The cows line up to pass muster as his regal hair blows in the wind.

Commenters came up with their own scenarios for what they were seeing and it’s clear that this video deserves some kind of comedic voiceover.

Even people not really into farm animals are bound to appreciate some of the moments here, so don’t feel bad for clicking on a video called “Elegant Friesian horse meets the neighbours cows” – it’s better than it sounds.

We don’t know much about the person who uploaded the video other than that she has multiple beautiful horses that she shows off on YouTube quite frequently.

There’s at least one other Friesian horse, named Apollo, as well as Arabians and Andalusians. And Tara also gives some commentary from horseback in a few of the videos.

So if you’d like to live vicariously through the owner of a horse farm with some of the most gorgeous animals in the world, we recommend the whole channel – especially since watching it on a screen means you don’t have to deal with those pesky horseflies.
