Gary Sinise treats over 1,000 families of fallen soldiers to Disney World Christmas vacation

These fallen heroes represent the character of a nation who has a long history of patriotism and honor – and a nation who has fought many battles to keep our country free from threats of terror. – Michael N. Castle

For each day that we enjoy freedom, some people are continually fighting to maintain it.

Our beloved soldiers who are courageous, honorable, and selfless dedicate their lives for our country. Can you imagine the pain of leaving your family behind? To leave that small child who’s crying because you need to choose your sworn duty?

Can you imagine waving goodbye to the person you love, not knowing if this is the last time you will do it. For these selfless people, their promise to protect and fight for our land is their top priority.

According to the news, there has been a decrease in casualties, which is fantastic news to share. However, there are still lives that are being taken, which is always a sad reality.

To our beloved fallen heroes and their loving family, Gary Sinise Foundation and the Snowball Express paid tribute by giving them a memorable holiday surprise.

This foundation knows how grieving families suffer, especially during holiday seasons. That’s why each December, this fantastic organization hosts a five-day experience for over 1,750 children, along with their surviving parent or guardian.

According to their website, this program is a:

“Therapeutic retreat with a blend of fun and inspiring programs, these families can lean on their peers for support.”

This year, they chose the happiest place on Earth! You’ve guessed it right! They chose Disney World!

Around 1,750 children, together with their guardians, were included in the program via the ‘Snowball Express.’ They were to experience a fantastic five-day holiday at the resort for free!

Everyone was so excited, but time stopped as everyone sang the national anthem when they were in the Nashville International Airport. There, tears fell, memories came flooding back. There was a rush of emotion.

Seeing them all here, you just can’t help but cry. You just feel the intense feeling of gratefulness for our fallen soldiers—also, the pain of sadness for these children.

That’s why Gary Sinise’s program is just so beautiful. It helps these children, these people who lost someone. It may only last for a few days, but the therapeutic effect that this program has for these people is all worth it.

“They’re dealing with the grief and the loss of a loved one, a mom or a dad who have died in military service, and all these kids are going through the same thing, so the power of all of them in the same place at the same time, many of them — hundreds of them — was very healing for a lot of them,” Sinise in his interview with Fox News.

It’s not just about fun and games. This program also aims to help them heal. They also have programs that give tribute to our fallen heroes.

All in all, this program is impressive! More and more people are pledging their support for Gary’s mission, and each year, they gain more supporters and donors.

For the donors and supporters, it’s a little something that we can give back to the families of the people who selflessly gave their lives for our freedom. At the end of each event, these people have already formed a strong bond. A bond consisting of people who truly understand what each one is going through.
