Ice Ice Baby

The idea of this nifty trick is to throw several ice cubes into the dryer and while the ice melts it will steam your clothes and have your clothes wrinkle-free and ready to put on. You can kiss that iron goodbye after this time-saving hack. While some newer dryer models have a steam setting, there is a way for everyone to have wrinkle-free clothes without a hole in their pocket.

Put It To The Test

But the question is does this ice cube hack really work? Well, there are a few things you have to take into account if you want to have wrinkle-free ready to wear clothes. Through trial and error, people have put the ice cube hack to the test and have noticed it doesn’t work as well with a dryer packed with clothes. The ice cube hack won’t be as effective with jeans or heavy fabrics so don’t throw away that iron just yet.

It’s best to try this trick with a small load of cotton clothes for the best result.

What You Want To Do

When you put your small load of clothes in the dryer, dry them for 20 minutes and then open it up mid-cycle to throw the ice cubes in. Once the ice cubes are in they’ll help smooth out the creases in your cotton articles.

Now your clothes are smoother than ever without picking up an iron!

If you don’t have any ice readily available, throwing a damp washcloth is another great alternative. If your dryer has a dryness sensor it may stop throughout the cycle while your clothes are still wet. Just simply set for another 15-20 minutes or until they’re fully dry.
