They are performing Sweet Child of Mine while their parents are thinking, “Those are some sweet children of mine!”

Some people think that kids have no appreciation for classic rock. These kids sure do.

They grew up listening to Bruce Springsteen, AC DC, Van Halen, Led Zeppelin and many others. But their favorite band of all time was Guns N’ Roses.

In fact, Guns N’ Roses inspired them to start their own band. By the time they were 12, they had perfected one of Guns N’ Roses’s most well-known hits, Sweet Child O Mine.

There was an open-air concert in their town, and they were lucky enough to get booked as an opening act.

When the kids walked out, everyone was expecting them to just be ok at best. But the band was going to surprise them all.

The guitarist started playing the opening notes to Sweet Child O Mine. It sounded perfect. Everyone realized they were in for something special.

The rest of the instrumentalists started playing, all coming in at just the right moments. By now, the crowd was moving enthusiastically to the music.

The singer then opened with the lyrics “She got a smile that it seems to me reminds me of childhood memories.”

The kid had just as much personality in his voice as Axl Rose.

Then the lead guitarist walked to the front of the stage to perform a guitar solo. He was note-perfect.

When the kids finished up their performance, the whole crowd was roaring with appreciation. It was almost as good as seeing Guns N’ Roses live.

Luckily, someone was filming this incredible performance. The footage appeared on YouTube, where it soon went viral.

To date, it has gained over 4.3 million views. It also has more than 71,000 likes and 8,100 comments. People have been saying things like this:

Since this performance, the kids have all grown into teenagers.

Their love of classic rock has remained. Stratton James, the guitarist in the video, has since uploaded many other covers of classic rock songs.

Of course, James and the other kids are still at the very start of their careers.

They may or may not choose to become professional musicians. But based on the Sweet Child O Mine performance alone, there’s no denying that they could all be hugely successful.

The kids in the video are really following in the footsteps of Guns N’ Roses, and not just by covering their songs.

All of the core members of the band became active in music at a young age. Axl Rose, the lead singer, performed with his brother and sister when he was just five years old. Slash, the band’s lead guitarist, formed his first band when he was just 13. And Duff McKagan, the band’s bassist, formed his first band at the age of 15.

In many ways, the kids in this video could become the next Guns N’ Roses. After all, at one point, the members of Guns N’ Roses were just a bunch of kids performing with other kids!
