Dogs are some of the most loyal creatures that nature has ever created. It can sometimes seem that all they want in the world is the love of a big human.

The man in this story noticed a stray puppy all alone on the road one day.

That ended up being just the start of a beautiful story.

The man filmed his interactions with the stray puppy and posted them on YouTube.

“When I came back home today, a cute little puppy was standing in the corner of the street,” the captions of the video read.

“He was so cute and friendly.”

“The little pup followed me and I thought that is destiny to me to find him and rescue him,” the captions continue.

Imagine being a young scared infant all alone. It must have been terrifying for the little guy.

The man noticed he was a little shy but eventually warmed up to his affection.

“I try to comfort him to get closer to him, and he loves it.”

“Finally, he came to my home. He’s still a bit shy.”

The man made the puppy some food and they dug right in! It certainly seems they were a hungry little one.

He decided to give him the name Pluto.

Pluto finds his friends.

The man posted a follow-up video from the day after he brought Pluto home. He noted that the next day Pluto went wandering out of the house.

The man followed him and saw something pretty incredible.

After about an hour of wandering, Pluto ran into two other stray dogs. They all seemed familiar with each other. These must be Pluto’s friends.

Pluto would even lead the two stray dogs back to the man’s house. Perhaps Pluto really wanted the man to care for them too.

Now the man has 3 strays living with him.

They are one big blended family. Who knows what would happen to these 3 adorable puppies if a kind-hearted man had taken them into his home.

“Now, this will be your new home,” the man says to the puppies.

“Stray dogs often forage at the landfill, often suffering from serious intestinal diseases.”

“A new journey begins with you but safer and happier than the past,” the man says to the little ones.

What to do if you find a stray pet.

The Humane Society recommends several tips if you find a stray pet near a road. They recommend being cautious as there is no telling how the animal might react.

“A strange, frightened, and possibly sick or injured animal can behave unpredictably. A sudden move on your part, even opening your car door, can spook them and cause them to bolt—possibly right onto the highway,” the Humane Society says.

The Humane Society also recommends that you call the appropriate people for help.

“If you’re not able to safely restrain the animal, call the local animal control agency (in rural areas, call the police). Do so whether or not the animal is injured, and whether or not they are wearing an identification tag. Leave your phone number with the dispatcher, and try to get an estimate of how long it may take someone to respond,” they recommend.

What to do if you decide to take the animal home.

If you decide to take the animal home with you, the Humane Society recommends you contact your local animal shelter and animal control office first. If the animal is microchipped, they will be able to contact the animal’s owners.

“If you decide to try to find the owner yourself, be sure to contact your local animal shelter or animal control office first. This will give you an opportunity to let the appropriate agency know that you have the animal and to provide a description to them, in case the owner contacts them. Also, have the animal scanned for a microchip”
