Video captures heartbroken mama dog crying after being dumped at shelter without her puppies

All she wanted was to be near her babies. Instead, she was alone in a strange environment.
Cinnamon had only recently given birth.
But then the owners did something shocking. They decided to separate Cinnamon from the babies much too soon. Then they drove her to a shelter and abandoned her.
Later, the shelter volunteers took Cinnamon to the vet.
The vet confirmed that the dog was obese for her size and that she’d had many, many litters.
Clearly, her former owners had been intensively breeding her and keeping her in a breeding machine. She would never have had time to bond with any of her puppies. And who knows what other hardships she had endured?
Every day, one of the shelter volunteers, Sarah Jennings Sleime, would walk past Cinnamon’s room and feel heartbroken.
She could see that Cinnamon was missing her babies like crazy.
Sarah tried to empathize with the dog. She told her that she was sorry.
And then Cinnamon started crying.
The next day, Cinnamon still looked sad. So Sarah said that she was sorry again. Cinnamon started crying once more.
This kept on happening.
Sarah realized that the world needed to see how the dog was reacting.
People needed to understand how cruel it was to separate mother dogs from their puppies too soon.
This footage soon went viral.
In fact, to date, it has gained over 5.9 million views on Facebook.
It also has more than 38,000 reactions and 11,000 comments. People have been saying things like this:
Luckily, things soon got better for Cinnamon.
One family who saw the video of Cinnamon realized that they wanted to make her life better. So they got in touch with the shelter and agreed to adopt her.
A few days later, Cinnamon got to meet her new family.
Luckily, Sarah recorded this introduction. And Cinnamon looked so happy!
The family’s mom pet her. The two daughters sat on the ground and played with her. Cinnamon’s tail wagged like mad, and she had a huge smile on her face.
Then she tried to kiss one of the girls.
Next, she went up to the family’s son. It was like she could tell already that these people would take much better care of her than the people who once owned her!
Sarah posted this second video to Facebook, where it also went viral.
It has managed to gain 1.5 million views!
But Cinnamon would have to wait just a little bit longer until she joined the family at their new home. The shelter had to get her spayed. The next day, the family was able to pick her up.
Cinnamon now has an amazing life. Everything is different, even her name.
The family decided to call her Rosie. Rosie seems to like that she has a new name to go with her new life.
Rosie also has a dog sibling. His name is Blu.
And like Rosie, he is a pit bull. At first, the family wanted to ease Rosie into the home by keeping her separate from Blu. But the two dogs kept on whining at each other from either side of the closed door.
The family decided to introduce them carefully.
But they were instantly friendly and soon sat next to one another. It was like they’d known each other for years.
