Poodle hilariously cold shoulders mom after groomer gives her a new haircut
Some dogs are just hairy. Their fur gets in their eyes, making it hard for them to see. When this happens, it usually means it is time to get a haircut. One dog did not take too kindly to this, and her reaction to her owner has people online rolling with laughter.
Roxy is full of life and love
According to owner Eris Baker, Roxy is usually a big bundle of joy with a love of life and all that it has to offer. To go along with her wild spirit, Roxy also has naturally curly hair, as is common with her breed.
“She is super sassy and fun-loving,” Baker told The Dodo.
Roxy also has a sassy side
This sassy side was on full display after a visit to the groomer. Like many dogs with unruly hair, the occasional trip to get it trimmed is expected, In most cases, Roxy gets a simple trim with the hair on her body simply being cut back.
A change of plans
One of the problems that Baker noticed with Roxy’s fur was the tendency to get matted around her ears, a place where the groomer usually left untouched. So, this time, Baker asked the groomer to trim around Roxy’s ears. Poor Roxy, though, didn’t seem to know what was about to go down.
The truth comes out
It wasn’t until Baker picked Roxy up that the true magnitude of the changes that had taken place registered with the usually happy dog.
“She seemed super excited when I picked her up [from the groomer],” Baker said. “But when I put her in the car, I think she caught a glimpse of what she looks like and got a little upset.”
It was at this point that Roxy decided to give Baker the cold shoulder.
“I died at first when I saw her ears. The fact that she looks like an alpaca kills me,” Baker said.
Roxy eventually accepted her fate
Eventually, Roxy started to accept her new look. She reached out and put her paw in Baker’s hand as she did on most trips out in the car. This even though her new look didn’t exactly match what she was expecting.

Plus, as with most hair, it wouldn’t be too long until it grew back.
In the meantime, Roxy got to enjoy matt-free hair for a little while. As for Baker, she thinks the new look suits Roxy just fine and even plans on asking for it again the next time she gets her groomed.

“It just fits her so perfectly,” Baker said. “It’s kind of like her trademark now.”
