Sometimes, we witness amazing heartwarming moments and acts of pure kindness, but it’s not only us humans who can be so kind and loving. In the following story, it was none other than a young four-footer who has made hearts melt.

Back in 2017, the Brazilian couple Suelen Schaumloeffel and her fiancé wanted to adopt a dog.

Having a new family member around would definitely brighten up their lives, as they absolutely adored the idea of having a fluffy four-footer in the home. The lovebirds headed towards their local shelter and immediately laid eyes on the eight-month-old puppy named Lana.

The pooch was actually rescued from the streets and has been through some very rough things as a stray, but she seemed to be doing okay at the shelter. Even more – the puppy was incredibly sweet, affectionate and friendly: a perfect match for Suelen and her soon-to-be husband.

Lana quickly adjusted to her new life at her loving forever home.

One of her favorite things to do is cuddling with her two owners, and she also adores spending time in the backyard where she has her own doghouse. When mom and dad left the house for work, you could typically find Lana over there. It was also where she slept during the nights, something which is a common tradition for dogs in Brazil.

When the winter season arrived, mom decided to buy a warm thick blanket for Lana so she wouldn’t get cold outside. Suelen put it right in her doghouse.

The very next day, Suelen’s fiancé checked on her outside and couldn’t believe his eyes.

Right outside of the family yard, there was a poor stray dog who seemed in poor condition. Lana noticed this as well, and what happened next was just absolutely magnificent. The puppy was worried that the other dog would be cold, so she figured out the perfect plan.

Lana dragged her brand new blanket outside to share it with the homeless dog!

“I thought, ‘How beautiful what she did for her friend,’” Suelen said to The Dodo. “My best four-legged friend reminded me of something so important: generosity!”

The woman then decided to go outside and check on the homeless dog, to see if he had any form of identification or a tag. The pooch ran away before she could reach him, but Suelen still spots him from time to time on the streets. Even though the stray seems scared to interact, Suelen regularly puts water and food in front of their yard for the dog, and he gladly accepts.

Whenever the stray dog does appear, Suelen can’t help but smile. The homeless dog also started opening up a bit more, which made interactions easier.

“She is the nicest little dog I’ve ever met,” Suelen said. “We forget sometimes the difference we can make in someone’s life. She reminded me of this.”

Suelen posted a picture of Lana sharing the blanket on her Facebook page, and it quickly went viral.

In fact, the photo has been shared no less than 27,000 times and people absolutely adored this kind gesture.

“Seeing the friend without a home and cold, Lana did not hesitate to share the blanket. She took it to the fence and offered a piece to her friend,” She wrote on Facebook. “Each on one side of the fence, but both warm. I swear that when I saw this record I was moved. I was so overwhelmed by her generosity!”

What an incredibly sweet puppy!
