Sweet, terrified puppy buries its snout in rescuer’s arm when it realizes it’s finally safe

In normal circumstances, people adopt pets to make them a significant part of their family. Taking care of animals involves giving them a lot of love, attention, and a safe place to live. It’s needless to say that some food and clean water are also a necessity.

Now, imagine a little scared puppy who doesn’t have any of that. The poor little dog was abandoned in an old building, covered in wounds, hungry, and terrified. Luckily, his suffering came to an end when good people found him and called a rescue unit.

What makes people do such horrible things?!

When we say horrible, we mean abandoning a cute, little pup in such an unsuitable, dirty place. An older dog might have found a way to survive somehow, but we’re talking about a young puppy. The building he was found in was used as a place where residents disposed of their old things, such as furniture, and sometimes garbage.

It’s not just that the place isn’t clean, but it’s untidy, and the mere sight of it gives you anxiety.

Aside from being hungry and exhausted, the puppy had wounds all over his face

It’s unclear how long the doggo was in the abandoned building, but it’s a good thing that he was found. Who knows how much longer he could survive?! When rescuers took him out, he was scared, his cute face was covered in scratches and wounds. Even worse, there was something wrong with his eyes.

So, how did the rescue mission happen?!

Someone noticed that there’s a dog among all that trash, and called the Stray Rescue of St. Louis.

The whole thing was posted on their official Facebook page, and here’s how they described the puppy’s condition when they found him: “He’s just a little puppy! His eyes are messed up, and he has puncture wounds on his face. Despite what he’s been through, he is so happy!”

The dog was happy because someone finally saved him from all that misery

You might think that the dog, because of how scared he was, would resist being taken away, but this little fellow did not oppose. We understand him completely. He even began wagging his little tail, when one of the rescuers picked him up. Imagine how desperate the little one was!

Finally, when the puppy felt completely safe, he sank into the rescuer’s arms

We can’t believe that someone could leave such an adorable dog, but that happened. The doggy needed a lot of love and care, he couldn’t wait to relax in loving arms.

Stray Rescue named him Chowder, and the charming pup became quite an attraction after a while. A lot of people wanted to adopt him and give him the home he deserves.

Chowder is on his way to make a full recovery

Those are some happy news, especially after people who called the rescue service mentioned something about a dog fight. Looks like some people there were involved in that atrocious way of using animals to make money, and Chowder was probably a bait dog.

It’s impossible to imagine how terrifying it must have been for a poor canine.

Let’s hope that the puppy’s new owners will recognize that he would be an awesome friend

He’s the cutest little braveheart we’ve seen in a while.

Somehow, we’re certain that whoever adopts Chowder will be overwhelmed with his love and gratitude, especially after he’s been through so much.

The puppy who met such terrible conditions will be twice as happy for having a good life. If only there was a way to save them all!
