Everyone who owns one will definitely agree: a Dachsund is certainly a very remarkable and absolutely amazing dog breed. They’re also commonly referred to as “Sausage dogs” because of the cute way they look, but they’re known for a lot more than their exterior. These often tiny four-footers usually have a very social and loving personality. Not only do they want in your lap, but they also love to be in your bed.

Did you know that Dachsunds were actually specifically bred to burrow after animals such as rabbits and foxes and bring them to their owners? Their sense of smell is outstanding and they’re even considered to be scent hounds.

Of course, Dachsunds also make excellent pets and are a true ray of sunshine inside the home.

Just take a look at the adorable Pepper, for example, who can’t contain her excitement when she’s finally allowed to play on the bed!

Just like most other canine four-footers, the bed is considered to be absolute heaven to play on! It’s just so soft, cushy and full of their owner’s scents. As a Dachshund with an excellent sense of smell, that factor will definitely play a role in how excited they get.

Pepper simply adores hanging around, rolling and jumping on the bed. She’s not always allowed to spend time on there, but when she does, her excitement simply cannot be described in words! Luckily, Pepper’s owner decided to capture one of her playtime sessions for the whole world to see. Seeing how Pepper is having the time of her life will definitely warm anyone’s heart.

Within seconds, she’s running around in circles out of pure joy and she simply can’t get enough of it.

Pepper certainly has a ton of energy to let loose, the adorable dachshund is like a little rocket!

Luckily, the owner made some preparations before allowing Pepper to play on the bed. If there would be any bedding, we’re pretty sure that the entire room would look like a battlefield after Pepper had her moments of fun.

The whole thing gets even more adorable when mom’s not looking, as Pepper gets even more active and wild. We can only wonder what goes on in this pooch’s mind, but it surely is infectious to watch.

After a little while, she stops… But only for a second!

It actually gives us a moment to take a look and appreciate her adorable face, which can be pretty hard to see otherwise if she’s running around from one corner of the bed to the other!

Later in the video, Pepper is accompanied by another four-footed sibling.

It looks like her dog friend isn’t as excited as she is to spend time on the bed, as the other dog has his eyes set on his fluffy raccoon toy. Even though this noticeably larger pup claims a considerable piece of space, there’s absolutely no stopping Pepper from doing her thing on the bed!

With more than one million views on YouTube, Pepper’s hilarious antics have put a smile on many faces.
