Woman and her dog take first place at the World Dog Dance competition

The winner takes it all. This happened to Yvonne Belin of Switzerland and Alice, her Border Collie dog when they emerged as Champions in The World Dog Dance Competition held in Moscow.

Yvonne and Alice’s performance during the Freestyle routine was so incredible, creative, and outstanding, that they won the hearts of the judges and has star-struck over 2.7 million viewers on YouTube.

In the video, Yvonne and Alice confidently walk on the dance floor and make their turns.

They gracefully bow and begin their beautiful dance performance for the crowd.

The duo’s act is set to Queen’s “Don’t Stop Me Now.”

The tune starts out with a slow tempo.

Then, Yvonne and Alice slowly perform their intricate twirls and move gracefully on the floor. And as the beat hits its epic transition from a slow to fast tempo, the pair dances faster and full of energy.

Their energy on the dance floor is both unstoppable and unbeatable.

Yvonne leads their act and skillfully maneuvers her dog to dance along with the music.

Obviously, Alice dances happily as she walks backward, leaps, spins, and follows Yvonne’s leading. Yes, Yvonne leads the way and lets Alice shine like a star on the dance floor.

The duo communicated well with each other as they glided as one entity on the dance floor. It’s a freestyle routine that showcases their stunning showmanship.

From the looks of it, the two have invested so much time and effort into practicing their creative dance steps. This impressed the crowd and judges as well.

Yvonne and Alice are adorable. They are comfortable giving their best dance as one fluid pair, and their faces beam with pride and joy while dancing. What an enjoyable dance performance to watch!

The crowd was entertained and expressed their admiration and respect.

One audience member blurted out with glee:

“And I’m proud of my dog, he sits and stays, but this dog dances, what a talented dog.”

Yvonne takes off her jacket near the end of the dance routine. The duo bows to their audience, but they are not done yet. The music suddenly comes back on and the pair put on a mini grand-finale.

The judges and the audiences are once again ecstatic, and this final flair puts them in first place position.

Originally, the competition is divided into two categories namely, the Freestyle, and the Heelwork to Music (HTM). Both categories are judged on artistry, teamwork, athleticism, heelwork, creativity in many positions, and behavior.

It also showcases the dog’s obedience, knowledge, and understanding of the training commands.

What spells the difference for the Freestyle is not only the originality, but also the creativity, and intricacy of choreography paired up in music.

So, it takes a well-trained dog and a flexible handler to win this category.

Beautiful Yvonne Belin proves to be someone who is incredibly gifted when it comes to dog training, and Alice is an energetic, athletic, and intelligent breed.

Together, the duo trained rigorously before they joined the FCI Dog Dance World Championships, for the win.

Yvonne and Alice, after winning in the World Dog Dance Competition, gained popularity in social media.

This gives a way for the show to bring joy and happiness to their fans worldwide.

Together, the duo purposely lives their lives to the fullest, even after Alice was diagnosed with Canine Hemangiosarcoma.

Hemangiosarcoma is a cancer of the blood vessels. Although, sad news as it is, this does not stop Yvonne and Alice from finding meaning in this seemingly sad situation.

And so, on Yvonne’s website, the Alice-Ribbon, she helps dog lovers to be aware of this disease that could affect their beloved pets. The campaign was a success.

Yvonne made sure that Alice was totally, completely, and perfectly loved before she peacefully passed away.

She may be gone, but her superb dance performance in the Word Dog Dance Competition will always be cherished.

Alice’s many millions of viewers will remember her as a happy, intelligent, and talented dog who gracefully danced in the World Dog Dance Competiton and won first place.
